Surgery went well

The person checking us in asked if this was my son? I said no my husband (who is older than I am by 8 months). Took 3 different people and 6 attempts to start an iv so felt privileged when they had to call in a special doctor with an ultrasound to find a good vein. Surgery took longer than expected to discover I have cirrhosis of the liver which was the first time ever discovered and told my husband since I was out of it. My follow up is a week from today but the surgeon told my husband my lifestyle eating has to change dramatically since the damage can’t be repaired. Back in 1977 I was in the hospital with mono, enlarged liver, and infected spleen so my guess it’s from that since I never drank. Since this was my first surgery I guess that is why it was never detected before. The hospital gown was awesome with a hose to regulate airflow and I had that baby on high. Thank you for your support
