Gained a lot AGAIN over the holidays (Halloween to now). Netted a minuscule loss for 2018. New goals set for 2019.. wanna lose a pound a week this year, read 2 books a month and get my sssh!!!ttt together!
I gained too much too! I'm not sure how much but more than I wanted too. I know by how my clothes fit. I've gone back to eating mostly according to the Fast Metabolism Diet again because I lost a lot with it. I'm not following it strictly, especially for dinners but otherwise, for breakfast, lunch and snacks I am. I'm not giving up my decaf cappuccino though. It's one of the few things that makes me happy each day. along with my cup of caffeinated tea. lol A pound a week is definitely doable! Exercising is one of the few things that comes easy to me. My mom started us off exercising when my sister and I were young and my grandpa did calisthenics most of his life. All of the sugary foods are gone now though and I will not be bringing more into the house. We can do this!! Are you going to do Atkins or something else this time? 127 days ago
These are good and realistic goals. A pound a week is much better than trying to lose too much at once and then regaining it. As for reading, I had suggested in our group Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Myers and Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. Both are helping me, and they are pacing my reading. I want to read more, but I take so long to process everything I have read. These books help get rid of the lies that we have told ourselves and have contributed to weight issues. Let me know if you decide to read either or both. I lead a simple FB group to chat about what we get out of the books, if interested. 129 days ago
I'm in the same boat. I haven't gotten on a scale yet this year, but I was up the last time I did and I know I haven't made any progress. One pound a week is doable, so let's do it together! 136 days ago
