Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019!

2018 was not my best year. When your house is not livable for four straight months, life just isn't easy. My health went on a roller coaster ride this year with stress and all the eating out (when we didn't have a kitchen for MONTHS) and periods of grief as several family members and friends passed away this year. It was just a hard year!

However, I'm pleased to say that I ended the year just a teensy bit lighter than I began it - all of three pounds - and I do have the scale on a downward trend right now. I also accomplished amazing things in my health this year despite all the life hiccups:

- exercised on 249 days (68% of the year)
- exercised a total of 221.4 hours, which is over 9 full days
- walked/jogged 381 miles
- practiced yoga 181 times
- averaged 3.1 servings of fruits and vegetables (difficult for me, as I dislike all of them!)
- averaged 9500 steps daily

I'm excited to see what 2019 brings. I plan to improve all the numbers above and also to lose weight. I'm trying to be realistic about my loss goal. PCOS means I don't lose easily, especially when stressors make my cortisol levels skyrocket. It's a stupid disease. Anyway, I'm going to lose despite the PCOS, but I know it will be slow. I'm aiming for at least 36 lbs this year, which will put me into ONEderland and much closer to crossing the line to being overweight. That's three pounds per month, which I think is doable. Wish me luck!
