End of 2018

Monday, December 31, 2018

Today I am feeling determined and empowered to figure this all out for once and for all. I am SICK of yoyoing with my weight, feeling bloated, and feeling and looking lousy. I need to do better with my food and weight. Maybe the new dog will help me as I have already been taking him for walks and have gotten more steps than usual. I am ready for this new determination. I am not calling this a resolution because I am not good about keeping them. So I need to go back to what has worked for me

Years ago I used to put a sticker on the calendar every day that I worked out for at least 10 minutes. As simple as that sounds, those stickers really motivated me! So let me start with this. Meal planning also helps me stay focused and successful. Back to that as well. I can do this! And I will.

That double chin has got to go!

Yay! Great start, you have the correct attitude. Yes walking your dog is great for both of you. I also think using a calendar is a great idea. I have a version of one too. I have multiple food allergies so I track how well I follow my restrictions and other things I want to track like exercise, supplements, and water consumption. I use little stick on rhinestone dots from the craft store for everything I do right. I give myself credit for eating the right things and also for not eating the things shouldn’t. I listed all these things on a sheet of paper and assigned different colors to them and use that as a key to remember what color means what. I jot down on the day, errors made as well as my morning weight and evening weight. I know that might seem excessive but it actually gives me good information about how my diet is immediately effecting me. I routinely vary about two pounds between the two weigh ins. When my weight starts to change from that I look to see what is causing that. It’s very helpful to me. I also keep a journal where I spell out all the things I ate that day. No measurements, just identification. It gives you the space necessary to layout everything which you don’t have on the calendar. Anyhow best of luck to you. Happy 2019! emoticon
