NEW GOAL TO TACKLE FOR THE NEW YEAR 2019

I have been on this journey since September 2018 and have been able to maintain a 10 pound to 11 pound weight loss. More importantly, my blood numbers have improved and I have continued with using my home treadmill as my "go-to exercise." The fact that I have managed to get through the holidays without gaining all my weight back is HUGE! So, even though the scale doesn't show big losses, I am pleased with the above and the fact my clothes fit looser.
So, it is now time to move on to the next level. I need to find new exercises to implement into my regime; such as including strength training and a different type of cardio...or at least increase the treadmill time from 30-35 minutes to 45 minutes. My plan is to start going to the gym again and am wondering if I can do this without hiring a personal trainer. I need to be careful not to injure myself; especially now that I have my knee pain under control.
