2019 at a glance

This blog is where I'll add my monthly weigh-in results as well as my progress pictures this year.

I think it'll be the easiest and quickest way for me to see how I'm doing when I'll need a little pick me up or a nice kick in the you know where to stay focus.

I don't have any weight related or any resolution for that matter as I'm just continuing with my journey has I've been since 2012, trying to get healthier and lighter while dealing, pushing through and learning to live with certain health issues.
My goals are quite simple.
-- be healthier (meaning closing up the next year being stronger (lifting things and having more cardio (not being out of breath while going upstairs once)

-- exercise regularly. If I do 3 times each week that'll be awesome. Just built the habit and keep at it. Remember that it'll get better and that it's needed to fight the pain.

-- stretch ... I can't stretch that enough (sorry for the bad word joke here) but do it daily. Each morning and each night before bed. This needs to become second nature. It is SO, SO, important and helping.

-- drink the water ... again build the habit and stick with it. That too is important, really important.

I don't have any weight related goal as I don't want to get discourage and also I'd rather base things on how my body feels and looks instead of just the scale. If I keep with these goals it'll be a really successful year even if the scale wouldn't move.

So I'm all ready to start the New Year and doing things right. Let's have an awesome one.

Heaviest weight in August 2012 : 404 lbs.

Weigh-ins for 2019 :

-->January 1st weigh-in : 347.4 ... I have a cold, I'm over bloated and I need to take my measurements and some pictures to see the progress during the year. Posting this a bit late, on the 3rd, but that's how almost all my years are starting nowadays. Sick with a cold and super tired. Let's change this around a bit as soon as I'm better. emoticon
--> January 7 : 342.3 (- 5.1)
--> January 30 : 342.2 (-5.2)
----------------------------
----------
--> February 2 : 339.6 (-2.6)
--> February 13 : 338.9 (3.3)

    I like that you have named them goals and not resolution. At this point, you are resolved and your goals are just those that you have evaluated and established as ways to continue your resolve. I agree setting weight-related goals can make you disheartened, but if they are reasonable you'll be able to make them. I finally decided to set a weight goal per month, which equates to 1lb a week or 4 lbs a month. I have done really well NOT focusing on it but also being able to look at it and evaluate what can be fixed or where exactly I failed to achieve it.. lol Though generally, it's my diet.
