"I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions." -- Stephen Covey
This quote came up in the suggestions when I entered the title box. It seems appropriate for how I feel this morning.

I look at the food log for today and think that this isn't what I want to eat. Let's be honest. I want to eat cookies.

But, of course, if asked the question, what would be the right foods to eat to lose weight, cookies would not be the correct answer. However, that's what I have been eating a lot of lately. I did so well at the beginning of the week, but then there was Tuesday, and that's the worst day for me when it comes to eating because of the circumstances of the day.

However:

And my decisions have put extra weight on me this week. I bloated so badly last night that I had to unbutton my jeans.

Ugh.

Now, of course, I know that it was bloating--but that bloating was brought on by eating the rest of the Aldi brand of Thin Mints. They tasted so good, but immediately after I knew that I had made a bad decision when the bloat hit.

I have had so many wake up calls lately--this summer it was the blood sugar level creeping up. This fall it was that my jeans didn't fit anymore. And now I was reminded through a temporary bloating that I really have to change these habits.

I read, I journal, I tell others that all things are possible with God. I know this to be true. But faith isn't faith unless you put it into action. And I need to put my faith into action. Because when I put my faith into action, I am living the title of this blog. I am choosing to trust God rather than blaming my circumstances.
