We had a fun getaway for the company Christmas event/party and then got home this afternoon to find the house still standing and the kids doing well. Lots of pictures to share with you.

A look towards the Sun Valley Lodge from the parking area. You can see the main ski area in the background.

Definitely not as much snow as there might have been, but it was still very pretty.

We had to wait approximately two hours for our room (timing was to be there for the workshops, not rooms) and I chose to hang out in the main lobby and people watch. This was my comfy spot where I could watch the main entrance.

Our room was on the ground floor and this was our view.

The room itself was one of the "lesser" units, but it was huge! I think the bathroom alone would be the size of our kids' large rooms combined! It was hard to get pictures that really showed it all off.

We headed to the Inn, which was on the other side of the Village, for the social hour and party. Even though my knee was screaming as we had walked the entire Village earlier in the day, it was so gorgeous with everything lit up with white lights.

Seating was assigned and we were happy they put us with the only people we knew, Greg and Heather. The other two couples at our table were a lot of fun too. These centerpieces were on every table and so pretty.

The first thing that happened when the actual party began was everyone being asked to find something underneath their chair. Turned out to be 3 pieces of paper with a question on them. We were then instructed to wad them up and then "pick a target and let the snowballs fly". That room was just full of laughter and chaos!

The game was then someone at each table choosing a snowball to read and others could win a prize by answering. Some of the questions were hilarious. Anyway, this went on throughout the entire evening with breaks for different dinner servings. Here's mine....

I picked out the bleu cheese from the salad and gave it to Tim as I dislike that flavor so much. The crusted salmon with veggies was delicious with a glass of white wine. Forgot to take a photo of the dessert, but it was a slice of chocolate brownie cheesecake with fresh red raspberries.

Before we walked back to the Lodge we had someone in the lobby take a photo of the four of us.

The four of us walked back together and then spent time talking in the lobby by the fireplace.

This morning Tim and I had breakfast at Gretchen's and my hot chocolate was just so pretty I hated to mess it up!

The drive home was uneventful and once home I got things unpacked and then did my PT stretches and icing which helped my knee considerably. MUST start doing those every day again AND must get stricter and more consistent with the food intake. I'm sooo ready to get this weight back off. More than I have been for quite some time which is a good sign for me.

Tonight we are watching "God's Not Dead 3" and I'm getting caught up on Spark. Not having the email notifications made it impossible to keep up somewhat.

Tomorrow we are planning to attend first service to try it out as they have a different youth class that hour for Isaac. With Maegann's work schedule we may need to go at that time, but want to make sure it works for Isaac too. Will free me up for more football time and I can get the laundry done. Never did get the meal plans finished so will work on those too.
