Yep... starting over again

Saturday, December 08, 2018

It happens. A lot. To everyone. The start and stop if many diets and lifestyle changes and here I am following that trend. This whole year has been one illness after another. I got the flu in February and took the wonderful tamiflu, only to learn I was allergic. My reaction was a complete wipe and reset of my GI system. All bacteria was wiped out. Then around May I decided to finally go to the ER after daily bouts of nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, an lack of energy. Couldn’t kee anything in my system not even water. They sent me to a GI doctor and I had my gallbladder out in the end of June. Here we are in December and even though it is all more manageable, I still deal with frequent trips to the bathroom, insane weight fluctuations, and extremely restrictive diet. I have to follow the low FODMAP diet. Usually it’s for IBS and after a bit you get most foods back. Not me. I have even more that irritate my stomach. Now I can’t have any fatty, fried, acidic, spicy, dairy, or gluten. Even lactose free gets to me. So much fun. I’ve had to relearn all my eating. And by myself. My insurance that my doctors take seems to make them not want to do much if anything. In January though I do get new doctors. Maybe soon I’ll get some answers. They have tested me for nothing, they only give me prescriptions to let me kinda function. So I’ll figure this out even though it may kill me.
