Sweet Saturday

Saturday, December 08, 2018

Here's to a Sweet Saturday! So, what are your plans for today? I am not doing anything outdoors today. I have spent all morning and part of the afternoon doing household chores. Now, I am eating a salad, drinking water and doing some Sparking! Later, I plan to do some writing for my Renew Inspiration blog and Hub Garden articles. Then, I plan to exercise, read, color and write in my journal. Busy day indoors!

Hope that you actually got to enjoy some quiet “me” down-time after an active first half of the day....stressful time of the year calls for taking care of self and I love how you have planned that into your day!

Sounds like a lovely Saturday. I was going to cook, but I decided to clean instead. The wind is howling and it’s raining, so I think I’ll light a fire and curl up with a book. “Mr Dickens and His Carols.”

I finally finished writing our Christmas cards. I wrote a Christmas letter (to be sent to close friends) on the computer. We ran it off and sent copies out to about 30 friends. Because this has been such a difficult year, it was hard to recount the events without it becoming depressing. So I told the story by making some tongue in cheek comments (that most people can relate to) scattered throughout. Since all of my friends know me, they will chuckle at my self effacing humor. Even hubby laughed at some of the stuff I said and he told me he enjoyed the letter. Of course he is a bit biased in my favor but I sometimes do some pretty interesting things to cope with difficult situations! I am relieved that it has been written copied and sent out. That was a big project!
