I read a book!

That shouldn't merit an exclamation point, but, really it does. Whether that's out of excitement, or shame, I'm not entirely sure. I mean, I still claim to ne an active reader, but lately, it's been of things on the internet, whether news, or history, or falling down the wikipedia rabbit holes. I'm not entirely sure, before this past week, that I managed to start and complete reading any book, of any kind, during the entire calendar year or 2018.
But now I've managed to remedy that. Hooray? For what it's worth, the book was Digital Fortress by Dan Brown (the guy who wrote the Da Vinci Code). Written 20 years ago, and containing the not so immortal line, when the protagonists are scrambling to look something up on on an internet browser, "Netscape is sweetest." I laughed, hard, at that line.
As I obtained that book in a comic shop with a small used book shelf, along with two other items, I suppose I should take a stab at those other items. Or perhaps the massive backlog of Kindle items I keep amassing (mostly for free, mind you) without ever reading?
Or perhaps it's time to dive back into Harry Potter, alongside my 7 year old nephew, discovering it for the first time.
The siren song of books has been heard once again :)
