The Challenging Year of Change is Almost Over!

Friday, November 30, 2018

Well, I don't know about y'all, but 2018 can not be over too soon for me! That being said, I want to take just a minute and wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!

No need to bemoan the details but this year had waaaay more than its share of challenges and I back slid on the weight loss journey a bit but I'm ok with that because sometimes life throws you a curve ball or three!

Not a thing you can do about that but you CAN do something about how you respond to life's curve balls. Do you cower? Do you try to ignore them? Do you let them hit you and knock you down? And if you do get knocked down, do you stay down or do you stand back up and keep on swinging? Do you go for it anyway and maybe even make a strike or two? Do you finally connect and knock one outta the park?

So many ways to respond to adversity, but no matter what you choose the main thing to remember, it's just life. There's no guarantee that life will always be pleasant or even that it will be fair, just that it will be.

Seek balance in your life. Food, exercise, work, family, friends, play, creativity, all the things that make up your life, seek balance. Just take a moment and just be! The world is such a better place with you in it!

Accept that today, this moment, right where you are in your journey, whatever journey that may be that you are right where you are supposed to be. One day you will look back at this moment and be proud of the present you that never gave up and kept on swinging!

This year has been a year of change within and without for me. I kinda like the new me and I have more hope than I ever have for the new year. I'm excited to see what the new me will do with 365 days of unopened opportunity and time to make some old dusty dreams finally come true.

I'm looking forward to the Christmas season too. Spending time with family and old friends and maybe even making some new ones along the way. It's like an incredible present that started with the greatest gift of all, Jesus!

Merry Christmas my Spark Friends!!
