It's time to make changes! Not because it's after Thanksgiving and I ate too much, which I did... those dang leftovers did me in, too. It's time to make the change because what I am doing set me on the path back. It is not as bad as it was but really I am erasing everything I did in the last few years.
My problem is inactivity. I know it is. I sit all day... on the computer, on the couch while I read, I knit and I quilt. All the lovely activities that I will not give up, but I know I need to move more in between. Well, I knit, read and am on the computer mostly now. I go on a walk once a day and because my bones hurt, especially my hip I only walk 1 mile at the moment. Also, for some reason, I can't explain I have become skittish walking out there on my own. I do own a treadmill and a recumbent bike. They both are collecting dust at this time. I feel better walking outside still than on the machines, but it's something I have to get back to.
So I was on the scale this morning and knew before I stepped on it was going to be bad. No surprise there. But then I looked in the fridge and found thank God... all the leftovers are gone now. Hubby and I agreed just before Thanksgiving that when the leftovers are gone we will eat from the pantry and freezer... no buying fresh groceries until the stock is depleted. We hold on to too much food. Too much is available and we eat because the food is there.
So, changes are needed. I am going to walk my mile this morning and again after lunch. It's a start. If I feel up to it I'll add some aerobics later in the day. I got to get that hip flexing again or I won't be waking anywhere.
