Battle scars

Two years and 7 surgeries later.. lots of doctor appointments, wound care and feeling defeated at every turn. I was simply at a point where my weight was the last of my worries My daughter is 10, she came to me multiple times asking me to help her lose weight because she is being called names for being heavy. I’ve had to get back to eating healthy due to health issues I’m eating as natural as possible and gluten free, remembering suddenly that I’m a member of SparkPeople. I returned, downloaded the app, fixed her a notebook to write what she eats daily. She and I will do this together because no matter what I’m her mommy and I am the one she runs to for everything. Her weight is obviously bothering her:. We are going to fight this fight together. Also, I want to show her that you can lose weight in a healthy, safe way to prevent her from following crazy fad diets as she gets older

emoticon thing for a mom & daughter to do together! emoticon
3 of my daughters and I are setting up 2019 as a year to really work with each other on our weight-loss/health goals. They just bought us (all 4) "Happy Planners" so we can seriously track everything we want to as well as maybe keep better track of appointments and such for ourselves. emoticon
