Annoying... long blog post lost since I went in search of photos...

Monday, November 26, 2018

Well, the weeks continue to slide by.... and my last weigh-in had me at 187.8... but now I'm kind of afraid to step back on the scale after the holidays, which weren't great or terrible. I ran the Turkeython in downtown Portland on Thanksgiving and did the 5K in 42:52, which is great since I was shooting for less than 45 mins. My success in my first 5K in forever gave me enough personal encouragement to sign up for a 3 month winter 5k series in December, January & February. This should keep me going thru the winter and propel me into spring. Hubby and I are making it to the gym 2-4x weekly and that is helpful. I really like Planet Fitness, affordable and friendly and purple... very comfortable place to go. A great deal of my time has been taken up creating things. It began when my daughter realized that she had lost her childhood Christmas stocking in a fraught move and divorce earlier this year. So then I made Christmas stockings for the 3 grandkids and her wonderful fiancé. The I had so much material left over that I made a matching tree skirt which will be finished today. I need to get the holiday decorating done... but that will take place over the next few weeks. All my shopping is done, but I need to get to the wrapping... and cookie baking!
