Why I love CrossFit

Today we're doing a holiday WOD (workout of the day) called "The TURKEY BURN". My box often programs themed holiday WOD's and this is one of them.
it's 11 reps each for "TURKEY"
U-Up the stairs
R-Rope climbs (I'm not sure I can do 11 of these!)
K-Kettlebell Turkish Getups
E-Eighty double unders
Y-yippee burpee bar MU (I have no idea what this is, but I'm looking forward to finding out!)
then 22 reps of "GRAVY"
G- ground to overhead plate
A-Atomic setup press (also not sure what this is)
Y-yippee plate burpees (and again, not sure what this means)
optional "PIE" 18 reps
I-individual arm press
I love the camaraderie of my gym, the variety in the workouts, and the scaling options, which I take full advantage of. And I love the progress I've made in the four years I've been going. I still can't do strict pull-ups, but I keep trying, and I can do double unders more consistently when I couldn't do them at all when I started. Also I can climb that rope, which I had not been able to do before.
