Today we rose early and decided to go to Menards to stock up on suet cakes and birdseed.
I bought 120 pounds of seed, 30 suet cakes(40 cents each) and light bulbs, paper plates, and carmex. Everything was extremely discounted, so off we went!
We both got our strength exercise lifting those big bags of seed(40 pounds each) and everything else we bought. We also got our steps up there, just cruising through the store, since we had to go to all four corners of the building to get what we wanted to buy.
When we got home we filled the huge buckets up with the seed, then I filled both feeders. I had them filled by 9:30. By noon, the Spartan feeder (MSU) is still full, but the cedar feeder is about one quarter gone!
I took my turkey breast out of the freezer to start the tempering process. It is only a little over 5 1/4 pounds, so it will not take long to thaw.
It is so nice to be able to do things without rushing around like I used to do.
