This cold weather makes my joints stiff and everything else sore, but moving is the best thing. I am so thankful for having ways to exercise indoors in our long winters.
I ventured outside on the slippery driveway and street to get the newspaper. It is still kind of warm: about 32 degrees right now, so not too bad.

Tomorrow I will remove the turkey breast from the freezer, allowing it to thaw properly over the course of three days.
We are going to Menards for some more bird seed and suet cakes as well. Everybody is sharing at the feeder and suet cake basket in this weather.

I sympathize with all of my northern friends...the winters are just SO bitter. I still have indelible memories from all the years I spent in Iowa. We've been gone since 1979 (couldn't get out of there FAST enough) and I STILL remember freezing to death just walking to the mailbox!

We used to go back to Iowa for Christmas and I didn't stop shivering from the time the plane landed in Des Moines until the plane came back to Ft. Myers. One LOOONNNNG shiver for sure!

Take really good care of yourself and be careful on that icy driveway and those snowy streets. emoticon

I have never cooked a turkey breast and was wondering how soon I should get it in my fridge - thanks for the tip! I understand about the aches and pains - I don't know why it has to be worse in the cold. Daisy and I didn't walk today - too much wind along with the cold!

Yep, that is how it is here...and same with seed and suet cakes. But, John also gets a bazillion loaves of bread to have on hand and he feeds the deer of which we have plenty!

I wish winter would just go away now that it showed its ugly self to us. emoticon
