Doctors and Therapists

Friday, November 16, 2018

If I ever get out of credit card debt, I'll probably have just as much medical debt.

I had an angiogram which was successful.

I keep seeing a gastro specialist three hours away from me every 6 months. The treatment never changes. It doesn't work and they are charging crazy amounts of money. I'll probably quit going.

My son has ADHD. I'm afraid to put him on medication. He is still so young but his teacher says he is driving her crazy.

Weight is still the same. I eat about the same things everyday. I'm picky. I don't sleep well at night anymore due to my stomach so I play catch up during the day. I sleep like I just worked the night shift. LOL.

Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving!

I can totally relate. Maybe you need to see a different gastroenterologist. Some of them are better than others. I can't imagine why a doctor would stay with the same plan if it isn't working. It seems futile.

I don't know that I would want to put my son on medication either but I also don't know that I would want him exposed to a teacher who doesn't seem capable of coping with kids who have certain needs. Why does the solution have to be drugs? Any chance you can check out some alternatives? A different teacher or method of teaching? Not every child, or adult, is cut out to be strapped to a desk all day long and that seems to be what too many of them want to do.

I'm picky too and I don't tolerate some foods. I have gotten a lot of rude comments about it from unsympathetic people who think being lactose and gluten intolerant is in my head but I don't listen to them any more. They don't have to live my life. They have their own problems and need to focus on them.

Heath care in America is scary..I am retired.. I have medicare and medicaid..Many doctors don't like to take on patients with medicaid..My daughter who is working and pays for her own health care..says she can't go to the dr because the deductibles are too high..most of the time she has to make so much out of pocket that she can't to go..It is tough but i don't see it changing anytime soon
