Baby Steps

It is so easy for me to focus on the negative instead of small steps toward progress. I am trying to focus on the fact that I am down 2 pounds this week...NOT that I had to purchase new scrub pants that are a size up. I have been "off" sugar for the past month and have lost 11 pounds total. But my negative brain tells me "yeah, but you were the heaviest you have ever been". I have tried just about every diet out there and honestly none of them have stuck long term. I am a stress eater and sugar addict. Sugar is a horrible inflammatory substance. I had knee surgery last year and I thought that was going to be my wake up joints are screaming for relief from all the extra weight. Carrying around 18 5# bags of sugar...that is what I have done to my body. I have managed to drop 2 of them off...16 more to go and I am determined to get my healthy body and mind back
