At least I got a little Suzy Homemaker stuff done

Saturday, November 10, 2018

I fooled around all morning by getting my hair done and going to town to pick up a few things and a prescription...except there were 2 waiting for me. After my blood work on Thurs. she must have decided I needed more vitamin D because I now have a little bottle of it and take 50,000 units once a week for 8 weeks. But when I got home I got a little busy and washed some clothes but they are not folded yet and I made a nice pot of chicken and dumplings with frozen veggies. I think I'll have to add more carrots tomorrow.

Since I didn't get around to photos of the towels here is a photo of the John Deere rag quilt I delivered today. I even embroidered the babies name up in the right hand corner. I've been wishing I would have thought of it but it would have been fun to put her name on all the solid green squares.

Thank fulls
1. I don't have to leave the house in the cold and wind until Tues.
2. Love delivering things to people that really like them.
3. Talked with kids and grands today.

So back on track tomorrow. The kitchen needs a good going over and there is one more load of laundry to finish. Then I'm going to make more pockets since I only have 28 more to make. I might also start playing with the layout. I think I'm getting another cold but hoping I'm wrong. So many little things I could do and just want to do what I feel like doing not what I should be doing.

What a cool idea to embroider the baby's name on the quilt! You consistently come up with more creative ideas - I love hearing about your latest projects!

Great that you can sty indoors at least until Tuesday,, instead of getting out in the cold weather. Hope you aren't coming down with a cold, they seem to linger one in cold weather.
The quilt turned out darling, so glad that it was appreciated.
I get that way sometimes, wanting to do what I want instead of what I should do--it generally is when I am sewing that I want to continue and get something done. Today at the material store my hubby said gee maybe you could make some of those cute pot holders for the December sale here in our park---so now got that added to my list, and that is the first weekend in December.--guess I will be busy. Three days less to get that done as we go the San Antonio with a group here from our park day after Thanksgiving, will be gone three days. But it will be fun going on a charter bus and seeing the Christmas lights on the buildings and such from the river boat. Good luck tomorrow getting things done. I will do some sewing tomorrow as well.
