I Think I Need to Replace my Scale

Saturday, November 10, 2018

Last week, down about 3". This week, it tells me I am up 4.5 pounds. I don't believe it. I need a more reliable scale, but will have to wait. With Christmas coming (nephews and nieces and coworkers) and the weeklong visit with my best friend starting on New Years' Eve, now is not the time to spend my limited funds on me.

I expected the scale might be up a bit, but wasn't sure. I have been walking more, but I also had two days of not sticking to my eating plan. But not that much of an increase!

Trying not to focus on that number...

Sometimes the scale can differ if you put it in a different place in the room you have it in. I find I have to put mine in one position in the room for it to register consistently.

Who knows what is up with that scale but one thing I would do and you probably already are is tracking my food everyday. If you are right on the money and your scale is often something is up with that sucker!

Remember, there are other way that tell you that you are doing good. The scale is just a number at a certain time of day. Are your clothes fitting looser? Have you measured yourself? Sometimes, a weight gain like that is just some water weight and will go away. Don't let the scale define you.

    You will get it back.
Enjoy your weekend! I hope to go to our Remembrance Day service tomorrow, one of the biggest in Canada. I like seeing all the religions allowed to give a blessing. Its very inclusive.
