Webster defines motivate as: To provide with an incentive or a reason for doing something. So I have question. We are all on this site to lose weight and to live a better quality of life. Right?! So motivation is your reasoning for joining Spark or was it something else. Say you lost 50 pounds, you are feeling awesome. You are becoming more self confident. Then you lose that spark, that one reason why you lost in the first place. Now what? You start gaining your hard work back and them some. You feel like a failure. You feel down in the dumps. You hate yourself. You lost your motivation. Or was this a test to see if you are really motivated. Face it, we all go thru those ups and downs. We all are our own yo-yo's. If you say you aren't you are lying to yourself.

Webster defines temptation as:Temptation is a desire to engage in short-term urges for enjoyment, that threatens long-term goals. Lets say you have a bowl of candy in front of you. Sweet, delicious, gooey goodness. Then you have a bowl full of apples. The sight and the smell so heavenly that when you bite into the peal and start eating the meat of the apple, you shudder in delight. What would you choose, the gooey deliciousness of the heavenly morsel of that piece of candy. That piece of chocolate that makes you drool by its look and smell and the velvety crispness of the candy. The more you stare at the chocolate, the more it calls to you and you are being tempted. The apple just doesn't seem to fancy your tastes any more. Temptation. What do you do about that? How must we all fight that temptation? No you did not fail. Don't even think that.

I believe, you are now on a journey. You are going to be tempted throughout your journey. Your motivation may change. Your temptations are going to change. You are going to change. It will be different from everyone of us. We are all on this journey to together. We all have a common goal, but it's what we do along the way and how we deal with our own temptations and our own motivations that make us unique.

Love and peace,
