We had to get out of the house early this morning for my hubby's cardiologist appointment. At this time the doctor believes that he has a murmur - that has never been diagnosed. But will have more tests on Tuesday to determine whether he has a valve leaking. - crossing my fingers that he does not - emoticon It was raining so hard all day. It was a day we didn't want to do anything. But we decided to go to the grocery store. It was such a surreal experience when we got to the store. I rarely use an umbrella anymore. I got out of the car to walk in leaving my husband to park the car. As soon as I got out, I saw a woman approaching me. At first I thought she was going to walk into me. It was then I noticed that she extended her umbrella to place over my head. She was leaving the store but wanted to cover my head with her umbrella and walk me into the store. Wow. How nice was that. I thanked her over and over. She then asked me if she wanted me to wait for her until I leave so that she could walk me back out. Of course I said no, but I felt blessed by her kindness. As all of this hospitality was being shared with me - my husband parked the car and someone started cussing him out. He said that he wanted to park in that spot. With the downpour of rain, we didn't even notice him. So my husband, being the person he is, did not back down from the confrontation and there was a bit of an argument as they stood in the rain. I was so happy that I was already in the store. I didn't want to be part of it. lol It is just really odd the difference in our experiences at the same time.

I guess this is a sample of our society. There is always something good even when we think that there is nothing civil in our cities.
