The Never-Ending Plateau

Sunday, October 28, 2018

So I lost 8 pounds back in March-April of 2018, and then by approximately May, I started to plateau. Fast forward 6 months, and I am still at a plateau. I restarted SparkCoach premium this week and was very happily surprised that they have a plateau-busting program. I'm all in! There are things I'm doing good, like tracking my food and fitness, but I think I need to be more exact. I tend to eyeball my food instead of measuring it, so I'm sure there are many days when I'm getting more calories than I think. Also, I don't think my calorie count on SP is very accurate. According to SP, I can have 1600-1900 calories per day, but when I was doing that, I actually started gaining weight. I think my metabolism may be far lower than SP is calculating. About a month ago, I switched my calorie count to 1200-1400 per day, but I have a real problem staying in this. I'm absolutely starved at the end of the day if I eat only 1200 calories. I don't have a solution for this, but I hope I find one. It would be nice to start losing weight again...

I am at a plateau right now. I need to really do something different. I do exercise everyday. Good luck to you on your journey.

I hate plateaus. I know they serve a purpose, but if they last too long, you lose your momentum. What else could you change up to kick start your motivation? New exercise? New bathing suit? Dept store makeover? You got this!
