Steve, I only have three of the solar doo-hickeys. That is enough..
As far as the Christmas gifts, Connie lives a six-hour drive north of me, so it is not really difficult to resist. I would either have to do a twelve hour round trip, or take the time and actual physical effort to ship them to her.
I have a designated place in one of my closets for all Christmas gifts, so I make a list and check them off as I buy them, who they are for, and when the list is all checked off, all I have to do is take them out and wrap them. I have been doing it that way for over fifty years and I never have to worry about any last-minute shopping or forgetting a gift, or even worse, OVER shopping!

Today is just a gloomy day after a nighttime rain, and more of the same until Monday, so I am doing little things around here while DD goes with her dad out-of-town.
I believe a mud mask is in my near future.

Sounds like a wonderful day. You are so good about planning all your holiday gifts. I've never been very good at shopping for others because I don't much like shopping for anyone, including myself! Have a terrific YOU day!

I like your idea for Christmas gifts, makes things easier when Christmas gets closer. We don't actually buy too many gifts anymore. 3 of my grandchildren are 1200 miles away so I purchase on Amazon and have them shipped to their mom. I purchased all the gifts one year and it cost me a small fortune to ship them! I'd rather put that money into the gifts.

I haven't bought any Christmas gifts for years. We all decided that it was just to much of a hassle, and with the boys and grandkids so far away it just was to much. And they all are so different and as far as the grandkids I have no idea what they like, so why buy them things they will never use or wear. And it does make the holiday season a lot less stressful. I do buy hubby something most years, but he stay with the no gift policy.
