Oct 26, 2018 - Erasing the Pain

Friday, October 26, 2018

Good morning. I have to tell you all about an experience I had Oct 23rd/Oct 24th. As you all know my sister passed away 1 year ago on Oct 24th. My sister came to me in a dream in the wee hours of the morning of the 24th. She told me it was time to remove the veil of pain and start living my life again. Many of you have been through my journey in the past 2 years of losing my mom, sister Connie, my sister Connie's husband, Bobby, 2 cousins and my ex-husband. To have my sister visit me and tell me that was not only a blessing but definitely something I needed to hear. I'm hoping and praying it will kick me in the rear and finally get me past what's going on. With that said....I suffered another loss this week.

Although not related to me he knew so much about me. My pain Dr, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning Oct 23rd. He is the one that did my knee injections, my back injections etc. He never messed with my pain meds. My very first visit to him I told him I did not want to mess with it. I take one Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen 5-325 mg in the morning and one at night. That has worked well for me up until these bouts with sciatic decided to rare it's ugly head. RIP Dr Bakos. Now I have to either start a new journey and find a new pain doc or I need to get inventive and find ways on my own to work through my skeletal and muscular pain.

Yesterday my acupuncture wore off. I could hardly sit, let alone lie or walk. That means that treatment last 6 days. I'm due to go back on Nov. 2nd if I can make it that long. When I see my regular doc next month I'm going to talk to them about taking an x-ray of my right hip and see if what is going on could be bone-on-bone instead of sciatica.

On other notes, still no new court hearing yet for Bobby's case. It was kicked out of probate court and going to circuit court.

Work is going very well, although very slow at times. I now officially have 28 years in the field of information & referral and mental health services.

My little Hades is doing so well. He's getting so big. We go back to the vet Monday Oct 29th. I'm looking forward to seeing how much weight he had gained in the last 4 weeks. He's almost doubled in size.

Have a blessed day everyone. ~ emoticon ~ Donna

Just for kicks ~
