Prevent Unplanned Eating

Today's lesson is about setting rules for yourself and then sticking to those rules. This is the day we make the NO CHOICE card. The purpose behind this is to reduce and/or eliminate the stress that comes from that internal struggle of indecision of whether or not to give in to that craving or desire.

By setting guidelines for yourself, you eliminate that internal struggle. I did that yesterday, when I was shopping I saw that bag of Lay's Potato Chips and thought for a second to buy it, but I choice to tell myself NO CHOICE. Hubby did not hear my voice though and he bought a bag. At least he did not offer me any so I did not have to deal with temptation.

I will have to report that yesterday, I made my meals in the morning and just knowing my next meal was all prepared and only needed to be heated helped me with the temptation of grabbing something at the store.

Now, I just have to discipline myself to do these things consistently.
