Not many people know of the things I am sharing. I survived the worst storms of my life. But I was not alone. I had a good wingman.
There is one thing I know to be true. You do not need to be a famous to who leave your mark. You don't have to be a household name, an author, an inventor, or an actor with numerous Oscars...::You just need to be there-right time-right place for someone.
Maybe it was YOU who sat quietly beside someone when everyone else was too busy. Was it you who put a warm had on theirs and listened as they poured their heart out.
In 1984, Was it YOU who told me "You will make it, when Doctors told me: "There's nothing we can do for you; prepare for the worst"
In 1996, again it was YOU who dried my tears and calmed my fears when I found out I had cancer. And it was you again who whispered in my ear, "You have lots of life to live and we're going to grow old together".
The acts of kindness by special individuals in my life will always be remembered and not be forgotten. None of you were 'famous'. No one was there to award you with a life achievement award. But along the way, kind people were sent my way. And they forever changed my life.
Thankfully, I am not in that place any longer. I got through the darkest hours and what could have been the 'perfect storm.' But mostly, I had a good 'wingman.'
You were the voice that came when the fierce winds blew.
……::::No one else heard your whisper of hope, but me.
My life is changed and you will always receive my applause!
Thank you for listening and not being too busy.
As always, a special thanks to my spark friends!
Thank you for reading and remember: Just being there can forever change someone else's life....
.. Taking the time to listen and care.
