I have not been on plan as much as I want to be. Making incremental, suboptimal choices. I am not surprised I did not meet my weight loss goal. This morning, I turned a fresh page. I saw a blog from a Spark Friend or a SparkPeople article that inspired me to set some very short-term rewards for myself to help get back on track.
Bonus: I got my partner to set his own goals and we will get to enjoy the reward together!
He's going to cut out the honeybuns and cut back on nuts. I am going to do more days of intermittent fasting and cut out processed food (which, at this point, has been primarily oyster crackers!).
Each week when we each meet the daily goal x 7, we will spend a day exploring some part of this still-new-to-us area of the US. He has not picked his 30 day reward, but mine is an incentive for him - I will attend a meeting with him that he wants to attend that I would rather skip.
My unreliable scale says that I've lost almost 2.5 pounds. I don't have a doctor appointment scheduled for a real check, but I'll take it. I am starting to see evidence. My face and neck are a bit more slim; I can see more of the bones in my hands. My clothes are looser, but I don't see the weight loss in my trunk, which is where I carry most of it.
