Trifecta Training Day 4

Sunday, October 14, 2018

It's been quite a day.

Finished the final rush transcript from yesterday at 1:15am. When my alarm went off 4 hours later, it felt like I had just crawled into bed.

I think I managed to stay in bed until about 5:30. Got up, made a breakfast of 4 egg whites and 1 egg, scrambled, cooked in 1.5tbsp of avocado oil and some pepper sprinkled on, along with 50g blackberries. Packed it all up and brought it to work with me.

Pulled in to work almost 10 minutes early (that never happens!). Did my 5% challenge weigh in (I work at a gym on the weekends), and then ate my breakfast around 7am.

By the way - I'm down 3 more lbs from my last weigh in. I'm not doing anything crazy. Just following keto and doing my workouts.

Nothing super crazy at work except that our massive, annual fundraiser for the company's charity is coming up in about a month, so they want us getting everyone pumped up for that. Instead of my uniform shirt, I got to wear a funky blue t-shirt today that just happened to perfectly match my running shoes #accessorizing

My sister volunteers each week when I'm working, so when I take my break, I head home and pick her up. Today, I made a super quick lunch on the BBQ - 2 elk steaks with a side of 73g chopped mushrooms and 54g chopped zucchini cooked in 1.33tbsp of avocado oil. Seriously - 30 minute break: 5 minutes to drive home, 15 minutes to cook, 5 minutes to visit/get my sister, 5 minutes to drive back to work #win

I can't remember exactly what time I had my snack, but it ended up becoming my dinner. I think 3:30ish? 1 turkey bite, 2tbsp guac, 30g pickled beets, and 30g goat marble cheese.

Slowly pulling back from the cheese. Initially, it was just cow dairy that I had an issue with, but because I've been relying on goat cheeses, I'm starting to have an issue with them too. Using up inventory so as not to throw money in the garbage, but I'm almost there. Just have 1 more serving of goat marble to use up and about 4 servings (ish) of goat feta and then I'm golden.

No workout today, but I surpassed my daily steps goal as set by the Carrot app on my phone (I have a referral code for anyone who wants to do a step challenge with me...just send me a PM!). Daily goal was 3,400 steps. I walked 4.876...that's 143% of my goal.

Not sure if I'll get a workout in tomorrow, but I'm going to start being a better pet parent and getting my dog out for walks more regularly. 30-Day Challenge movements will be up-to-date by the time 11am rolls around on Monday morning.

Macros Goal (recal'd after today's weigh in): 1427 cals, 100g fat, 106g protein, 25 net carbs
Macros Actual: 1200 cals, 137g fat, 113g protein, 12 net carbs.

Did some light groceries tonight. Enough to get me through until Tuesday, anyway. I can't wait to try pumpkin pancakes in the morning!!

12:28am....I'm heading off to snoozeville. G'night everyone!

    BABYSTEPS2015,
You have the right attitude too. Any weigh in with measurable loss is a great weigh in.

James, I weigh in twice a week. Thurs for the Biggest Loser Challenge, and Sat for the 5% Challenge. Numbers are just numbers and as long as they're trending in the right direction, I'm happy 🙂

You are certainly on the right path. Do you "weigh in" every week? Then 3 pounds in a week is amazing, and you know it won't be that every week, some sort of fluctuation where in the previous week you had actually lost more.

All that said, its just a few numbers messing around. You will keep loosing weight, you will be less hungry, you will have more energy .... super.
