Great experience

Saturday, October 13, 2018

You learn so much by being around people that do the same things you do. Today I even felt very much like I belonged in this group. That is a new feeling for me. It takes me a very long time to get comfortable around people. But I spent most of the day there selling tickets at the door and then helping with the raffle tickets. I was tired when I got home but still enjoyed my day.

I did only have a protein shake on the way for lunch but stopped and picked up some Low mein with lots of veggies and teriyaki chicken for dinner. I also bought enough so I don't have to worry about what I plan to eat tomorrow. I don't need to be there tomorrow before noon so that gives me the morning to have a nice breakfast before I go.

Thank fulls
1. A sunny bright day
2. Not feeling inferior
3. being useful for something other than myself

There is a little quilting I'd like to get done before I go in the morning but we'll see if I make it. I need 8 more squares started for the halloween quilt and then it should measure about 50" square. That's a good enough just laying around on the couch quilt. I cut them tonight but I thinking laying down to watch some TV might just put me to sleep. Laying down in a very quiet house makes me very jumpy and nervous. Looks like I have some thing backwards doesn't it.

Like your thankfuls. You know it doesn't take much to make us appreciate the good things. That's the way it should be. Always be thankful for what we have.

Good luck with your quilting. I would love to see a photo of your work.
