Update on sciatic

Wednesday, October 10, 2018

For some reason it's sticking around. I told it I didn't want to be a pain in the a** but it's not listening. On Sept 20th I got injections in my back. Nothing happened. I'm still a pain in the a**. I've tried sitting on my tennis shoe like I did before. Nothing happens. I've tried chiropractic manipulations, It eases for about a day and then BAM!!! It hits me again. I'm still doing my stretching exercises. Those are killers but I do them so I can at least walk. The worse time is night time. I get spasms and they just take my body over on the right side and I have to stretch as hard as I can. which of course makes it hurt even worse. Ugh is all I can say. I'm going to try acupuncture on Friday for a few times. It's about $15 dollars more than what I currently have to pay to be manipulated. My chiropractor is certified and I trust him.

It's hard to believe that this month my sister Connie will be gone a year already. I miss her so much. I'd love to talk to her again. She was always the funny one in the family and would have us laughing so hard we'd be in tears. The tears I cry now are plain old sadness and there's a huge difference as one may know. As you can see she was quite a character.

That's about it for now. Have a blessed day everyone. ~ emoticon ~ Donna

I personally don't think much of chiropractors, but am impressed with acupuncture, even though I have never tried it (needles scare me to death). I hope it works!

She looks like a character. I have only one sister...just can't imagine not having her even though she is over 800 miles away. We are on the phone and laughing all the time!
Take care of yourself and try to remember some of the funniest times! Love those pictures.

I can appreciate your frustration with the "remedies" for the pain. Shots never helped me either. Chiropractor helped but then I lost my transportation to get there on a regular basis. Thus, the pains have returned. I am emphatically against taking "pain meds" and even the over the counter meds which just hide the pain only to have it strike harder with other "side effects" down the road. I'm trying some supplements which seem to have helped a little, but of course it takes "time" to show a difference. Unfortunately, they are expensive and since I'm on a "fixed income," well, it is hard to really get a long term solution. I am determined though, and somehow I will find a way to get back to mobility without a "walker." So hang in there! We'll get better together!

I wish I knew what to tell you to help I did try fitted insoles in my shoes and that helped me for a very long time but they are expensive but it was worth it at the time (I wish I could do it again )

I do know the pain of loosing a loved one you never do get over it but the pain does ease or atleast dull some as time goes on
