Today the kids don't have school, but the staff has a Superintendent's Conference. TA's and Paras have to report to Kodak Center.
Lucky for me, it's right close! I COULD walk it. But my coworker with whom I ride has to come by car, so she'll pick me up. And they'll be serving lunch!
So, I'll get home earlier than regular work days. I plan to go to the PO afterward - I have to forward something to my DD, and I've written letters to my 2 grandkids. And she doesn't want things mailed or forwarded to her from my HOUSE, just in case her Ex passes by to try to see what her address is (he was abusive and they left the STATE because of him)
And since I'll be out and about, I think I'll do some grocery shopping TODAY instead of tomorrow (Saturday shopping can be so crazy!) I have to get "chewy bread" for tomorrow because *I* get to host our Scrabble game! For those who haven't followed my blog, I have 3 friends from high-school days with whom I get together roughly once a month. We have lunch and usually (though not always) play a game of Scrabble after, and talk and talk and talk. We start at noon and end between 4 and 6. We've played at Carol's house (L-R, Me, Vikki, Sue)
visiting her chickens
Carol shows one to Vikki
and at Vikki's cottage by Lake Ontario during the warmer weather. In fact in 2016 we spent Columbus weekend there, going to a flea market on one of the days.

We've gone to Sue's house - a great place at Christmas, as her tree is so prettily decorated
We also exchange gifties. Last year I gave them all birdhouses that our Special Ed students had painted to raise funds for the department.
Because I have had so many people living with me in the past, we RARELY had it at my house. But now, I am solo, with my cat (who is VERY sociable), so it's MY turn. Vikki is bringing the soup, Carol a side, Sue the dessert, and I supply the chewy bread. And a good time will be had by all! I'll tell more about the weekend in my next blog!
