... so it's been awhile since I have posted a blog and I hope this blog finds all of my
s well!!!! I wanted to update everyone on how & what I have been doing.
With the last blog I wrote that I had lost weight from: 178 to 162.2
Starting weight 178
Start date: May 20, 2018
June 18: 162.2 [ 2lbs away my 10% weight loss goal]
August 2018 I actually surpassed my 10% goal & weighed in @:
Sept. 2018: I lost the .8lbs; losing a total of 21lbs. I am holding @ "157" .
I think I may have hit a plateau; to find out if this is true I am tweaking my diet to see if I am self-sabotaging myself.
NSV: Buying a smaller "size 12" [starting: size was 14]
I have about 10 - 15lbs more to lose, but I feel good about where I am right now, and I am feeling so much better about myself. My goal is to eventually get to the point where I can comfortably show my waist. It's been years since I have worn a form fitting blouse or been able to feel good about wearing a blouse tucked into my pants or skirt. I am looking forward to that, and the best part of it all is that "I'm doing this for ME!!!!"
To lose the weight I have:
- Followed a keto/low carb WOE, eliminating "ALL" sweets & starchy foods, [white / brown rice, beans, bread, except for low carb tortilla's]
My plate contains: loads of veggies, good fats, organic chicken, pork & wild caught fish
~ Example of what a keto/low carb meal looks like ~
Cauliflower pizza w/turkey pepperoni, green peppers & mozzarella cheese
Stuffed chicken breast; kale w/bacon & mashed cauliflower w/cheese
Low carb chicken suiza over cumin-scented cauli-rice
Pork chops and cauli-rice with baby spinach, peppers & mushrooms
- FASTING: IF [Intermittent Fasting] 16:8 [Fast overnight: 16 hours / Feast: 8 hours] every day.
I have a doctors appointment on January 5th with my PCP and I am hoping that my test results will reflect lower LDL/CHOLESTEROL levels as well as no longer being "pre-diabetic". Also, since giving up sweets I have not experienced that "burning in my foot" sensation!!!!
Well, that's it for now. I will keep you updated of my progress! Until next time...
"Keep making it happen!!!"
