Re-starting the Beck book with the Beck SP team - Day 1 is the Advantage Response Card.

I've always had trouble with the ARC; it always feels so fake somehow. I can list a zillion reasons why I "should" lose weight.... but that's all it is: a big "should'. . None of the reasons really grab me and motivate me. I should lose weight. Yep, I should. Really, I should. Yep.

Hasn't helped me. I think partly it's because I'm a 'detail' person, not a 'big picture' person. I need to lose 100 pounds for these 400 reasons is just too big of a concept. I'm still working through these ideas in my head, so I don't completely have it figured out (yet).

Anyway, for my ARC, I'm just writing down my 'vision' of what losing weight will do for me, in the present tense, as if I've already achieved it (that's what all the productivity gurus tell me to do).

1) I am confident
2) I am strong
3) I am lean and healthy
4) I am able to purchase pretty clothes that don't come from the fat-peoples' store
5) I can move easily
6) I am pain-free
7) I am active
8) I eat to fuel my body

I could add a few more but I think that's plenty - if I decide I need more I can add them later. And if this list doesn't work for me, I can toss it and start over.

And I have to finish reading the first few chapters of the book because I fell asleep reading the other night, lol. emoticon

edited to add - and I didn't lose a pound last week, but I didn't gain either, so maybe I'll try to lose two pounds this week emoticon
