Nervous *gulp* the results are in!!

Thursday, September 27, 2018

My doc's secretary rang yesterday and said the results of my CT were finally through and she's booked me in to see Dr Beata on Monday at 3.30.
I read through the results online (we can view our patient records over here) and its scary reading. Probably read too much into it as you do when you're not sure of the terminology so I stopped reading and will see what she has to say on Monday.

PLUS I should be having a bone density scan in December (she told me to book one in 3 years time 3 years ago ) so I'll ask her if we can get that booked in too.

Hi Caz...........You are so healthy and fit and have so much going for you in the Positive Column. I know that it is difficult, but try not to think the scary thoughts that have a way of sneaking in. Once your Dr. gives you a detailed description of what is going on and you have asked her questions that might be bothering you, (I always make a list so I don't forget anything, actually I make 2 copies so that the Dr. has her own) you will have the knowledge that you need to go from there. If you are like me, I tend to make things worse (in my mind) than they really are. I will be praying for you and sending lots of virtual hugs.

My records are online, too. Can be very scary! That's like Googling symptoms--they make it look like you're either dying or have some incurable illness that hasn't been seen in hundreds of years!

    Good luck to you!

I use to constantly look up everything. My Mom is 92 and if she stubbed her toe I was ready to call an ambulance, (okay not that bad) I had her having all kinds of diseases which some were correct but not to the extent where they were devastating. She does have diverticulitus and almost died from that, so just maybe I saved her from getting really ill. I was told to stay off the net and let the Dr.s take care of my Mom. After driving myself almost insane I decided to do so. I like the one she has now, he seems alright.

Sending hugs and prayers across the pond. Don't worry unless the Dr. says you have a reason to worry. Go and work in your garden. I don't know what the weather is there, but finally the rain has stopped and we actually see the sun. emoticon emoticon

Sending you good thoughts that your results are good. Reading results can be daunting. I remember spending a half day researching the terminology of my blood work results. It was a little too much for me to understand. The Doc was not too concerned but she took time to explain them and answer my questions. I wish you the best on Monday!

sending positive vibes until you see the doctor , when a doctor gives a diagnosis its based on the average person . I believe you are above average. i know you dont need something else to add to your plate but i believe you are stronger than most hugs and love sent ,

Sending nothing but positive thoughts and prayers your way Caz. I don’t try to read and understand medical info anymore after scaring myself about procedure Ashley was having. All went well for us at that time. emoticon

It can be as bad not knowing what they are going to do as knowing what they are going to do.
