Fostering Saves Lives

A little something about me is I am a huge animal lover. Like, really huge. They are "my people". I tried the fostering and rescue thing in the past and it was a FAIL, as I couldn't seem to let the animals go. I now have 5 dogs and 5 cats. LOL.
My kids have the same love for animals I do. It's in their blood. 4 days ago my youngest daughter brought home a baby kitten she found abandoned in a parking lot in the pouring rain. How could I possibly say no to her saving a life? Only about 5-6 weeks old and 11 oz, a tiny little furry angel sent to be in our care.
So I am TRYING the foster thing again. My daughter claims she has friends who want the kitten, but it needs to gain a little weight and be vetted and spayed before I let it go. Yes, it's work. Yes, it costs money. Yes, I will get attached and get my heart broken. But I will feel good having saved this baby's life and given it a chance to live and experience all the great things to come.
My house is constantly covered in a layer of fur. There's cat puke and dog oopsies. Barking and chaos. Litter boxes and a constant grocery cart of animal food and supplies. And the smell. And the fur. Did I mention the fur?
This is my life. And I love it.
