We were relegated to two rooms:my Lodge room and DD bedroom. They were working in everything but those two rooms and the kitchen. Doorways have plastic taped around them, everything is disconnected, we are scared to touch any surface. It was either washed, primed or painted one coat yesterday, so today is PROBABLY going to be finish up the living room, hallway and my bedroom. I am not sure about the bathrooms, probably only one finished today. Joe has to leave at noon, so Brian, his helper will work later, I think. They uncovered my bed enough for me to sleep, a pathway to the front door, and whatever bathroom they are not working in, that is the one we use! Hoo-boy!
I turned the A/C off while they were working, since they had the doors opened every five minutes. You cannot use a fan while painting or priming, lest the dust stick to the paint, so I retreated to my Lodge room with the great ceiling fan, and DD did the same in her bedroom.
I was doing fine with my asthma UNTIL Joe sent me to get some mud for the spots that we pulled things away from the wall.
There is so much prep work to do that it seems like they did very little painting, but Kathy washed walls and painted one area while the guys moved and covered furniture, all of the window, removed my wood blinds, etc.
I will be a happy camper when this is finished, but it seems like it never ends. I will research carpeting this week, as that is the next project. Even though it is only for the living room and hall, it requires moving that living room furniture yet again. I think that furniture hsa more mileage on it than my car, and it has never left the room..LOL!
