The Diet I will be following will be "The Perfect Health Diet" based on documented research by Paul Jaminet and his wife Shou-Ching, two scientists who wanted to research this topic due to their families' health history. Their book is loaded with the scientific studies they have based their recommendations on, but they also acknowledge that future studies may disprove current thinking, so they recommend people keep abreast what their current recommendations are by going to their website (which is free, and has NO obligation for you to enter in any personal info as many other sites do).
Per the above link, you will see that this diet consists of certain food categories and recommended intake levels of those categories. They also recommend a few supplements (but do not personally sell them).
This is more than a diet, but a life style change as they also recommend intermittent fasting (i.e. eating only during an 8 hour period during the day) and exercising throughout the day (slow to start, more vigorous during middle of day, and slow/stretching to end the day).
It should be noted that the intermittent fasting is recommended not for the goal of weight loss, but for health as autophagy is induced.
