Looking At Things Differently - Smart BMI
Monday, September 10, 2018
One of my Spark Friends, SLBrooks, posted a blog about a different BMI calculator that I had never used. Because I am now in my 60s, this calculator is of interest to me. An older person is not expected to weigh the same as a young person. Sure, I was thin as a younger woman. But having children and other factors contributed to a change in my body. When I calculated my age and other factors, on the calculator, I was told that I am okay at my present weight. I still could lose a few pounds. However, losing weight would not show any benefit as far as my health. I was happy to read this. I will still try to lose another 10 pounds just to "feel better" about myself.
Most of us know that it is more difficult to lose weight as we age. It is interesting to read the factors that contribute to the body as it matures.
I like to read articles. I like to be proactive when it comes to my health.
