Living in my area of North Carolina it is not unusual to get rain when a hurricane hits the coast of out state, but the storm heading our way this time appears to be the biggest one ever to be
directed at our coast. We are 250 miles from the coast and it is predicted to have winds 60 miles per hour even in our western area when it reaches us about Friday plus with the huge rain we will have to worry about flooding.
We might loose power for several days.
We are trying to prepare by selecting foods that will be useful while the power is out. Fruits and canned foods not requiring refrigeration, lots of bottled water is quickly leaving the grocer's shelves.
Things are pretty uncertain for our state for the next several days.
