It is in the 50's, very windy, overcast, and not very summery outside.
I went out t the mailbox and watched some crows talking to each other and they dive-bombed one of our hawks who landed in a tree. I then saw the mate of the hawk soaring above, but not intervening. Crows are the hyenas of the sky, so these hawks flew further away to get away from these darned crows.
I have never liked crows, although I know they eat the debris of carcasses. They are beneficial in their way, but they have invaded this neighborhood over the past ten years.
I have cleared the mantle and shelving in the bathroom of everything and have it boxed for post-painting. I still have my dresser and some more things on my armoire` to clear off. Draperies and valances will come at the last minute. Cleaning my wood blinds is on the agenda for today, as is cleaning picture frames and antiques.
I have virtually NO knickknacks, as I hate dusting anything. Thank goodness for my dishwasher for some of the candle holders and washable things.
I had to switch to flannels last night.. not a good sign, as we are supposed to have a bitterly cold winter and it is still SUMMER!
