Dorothy's Journey: Chapter 63 - Garbage Backboard

Friday, September 07, 2018

Torn away from being fit, healthy and organized, Dorothy started her journey back.

Tired from a busy day at work. Dorothy had to dodge flying monkeys throughout the day. She also thought she saw a glimpse of Glenda the good spirit! It was when Dorothy had just discovered something a flying monkey had done against her, Dorothy felt anger rise inside her. Dorothy emailed management to let them know programs were changed and policies broken. The smile she saw on Glenda's face encouraged her that she was doing the right thing.

Once home, Dorothy discovered the flying monkeys at home brought home a cheese pizza for dinner. They said they didn't want to have to make Dorothy cook tonight; although Dorothy really thought they were getting tired of a week of her cooking!

After the long day, a long week, flying monkeys; Dorothy felt she deserved a night off. Dorothy was just about to give in to doing nothing when she read some encouraging words from Sparkling Friends. Dorothy got up, put away leftovers, cleaned a small area, washed some dishes, and shined the sink. Lastly, Dorothy decided the garbage that was precariously piled high should be taken outside. Dorothy started filling another bag with the garbage stacked on top. Dorothy shouldn't have been surprised when she found that the garbage can appeared to be a basket hoop without the backboard. There was garbage piled behind the garbage can that Dorothy patiently picked up and threw out.

Feeling Blessed to have Sparkling encouragement and keeping her streak going! 5-4-3-2-1 Let's go!

Maybe practice picking up those missed shots would improve their aim.

Hope it's a good weekend for you.
