#1 Setting the goal
Thursday, September 06, 2018
I have an appointment in 53 days to redo some blood tests - with the goal of obtaining improved results. A month has gone by - and I have been unable to focus on this goal consistently. So I plan to write a blog every day during the next 53 days to FORCE me to focus.
There are lots of activities starting up now - and it is easy to let this goal to get lost in the shuffle.
I don't want that to happen. So I may write about these activities - but I will not let them take priority over my goal to stay on track for the next 53 days.
Today I left home at 8:45 to spend an afternoon with my grandson exploring and enjoying the neighborhood near his new school. He had half a day, but his dad, who teaches at the same school had to stay several hours later - so, after we all three had lunch together, I was happy to take my DGS and entertain him until his dad was free 3 hours later.
It was HOT!!! and we almost melted while walking around. We finally ended up in an air conditioned bookstore where we had a cool drink, sat and relaxed, and discovered some fun games to take home.
After I left my son and grandson at their place, I went to my mom's and we ordered dinner to be delivered from a local Italian restaurant. Delicious!!
So it was long after the NYC rush hour that I finally got back in my car and drove the 2 hours back home again -- with the trip being longer than usual because of many areas of road work. Finally arrived home at 10pm.
Did I overeat today? Yes, at the very end of the day.
Will I do it tomorrow? No.
I will be blogging instead.
