I had many calls to make this morning, along with the most delightful thing of all:paying the summer property taxes. Oh joy.
I also had to call the cable company to report a problem with the onscreen guide and a couple channels. Apparently, while we were a few hundred miles north of here on vacation, they had some rainstorms. The grass was so green when we got home, I could not believe it. It has been awhile and the guide just says "To be announced". Ah, no. I pay for the service and I want it correct. She rebooted the system three times. If the guide is not back on within a half hour from now, I will be calling back for a service call.
I do not know if they had high winds in the rainstorms, but none have occurred since we got home.
I am just putzing around here, but will go make some dill pickles and cauliflower and carrots. It is an easy recipe that requires no canning. You just put them in the refrigerator and they last for six months.
I cleaned strawberries, pulled some T-bones out of the freezer for tomorrow, made some ground round patty mixture and have them ready for this afternoon.
I am going to take everything off the walls and shelves in the rooms that are to be painted. It is one less chore to do at the last minute. Next will be removing all of the globes on the light fixtures in the bathrooms. They need cleaning anyway, right in the dishwasher.

How did I get everything done when I worked full time and school full-time? Same stuff, more time, but I do not seem to go as quickly as I used to go... (OFS)

I think the activities expand to fill the time. My days off are just as busy as the ones when I go to work! I hope all the projects go well.

PICKIE, the reason it takes longer to do the same thing you used to do, is because of age. My sister and I were born on the same day, nine years apart. She is 9 years older than I am. When we compare notes, it now takes 2 to 3 times longer to do what we used to be able to do in a few minutes.

I hope you get your cable straightened out. DISH network told us, if we kept calling with problems, that they would quit sending out a serviceman. We now have ROKU.

You do take good care of your home and I agree with BONNIEMARGAY You put so much love into your home.

Yep, I marvel at all I did when I taught and raised daughter. I will say, I enjoy being able to move at a more leisurely pace. 🤓

I know I also ask myself how I managed to get it all done when I worked, and raised boys and they were in every sport that the school offered, and we were always there tooting the team on. HUH, where does the time go.

forgot to add, do you know anyone else that has the same cable or satellite that you do to ask them if they are also having the same problem, if they aren't it might be the TV or your reciever.
