Optimist or Pessimist is the question I am considering.




I believe I am an optimist. If not now then I want to work on being one. Here are some ways taken from one of our Spark People articles on being positive.

Optimists tend to share several other positive characteristics that increase overall happiness and promote health, while reducing depression and chronic stress:

They think about, reflect on, and emphasize the good things in life.
They are grateful and thankful for all their blessings.
They don’t complain when something bad happens.
They feel that nothing can hold them back from achieving success and reaching their goals.
They believe in abundance.
They are confident that the world offers plenty of opportunities for everyone to succeed.




Being happy is sometimes a choice we have to make or let doom and gloom take over. We have to be strong and there are so many ways to become stronger through help given here and other sources if we are willing to search for them. Being healthy is absolutely one of the best ways to be strong physically and emotionally.

    I got a card for my husband's brother and his wife. He is dealing with a critical illness right now. The card said, "Not every day is a good day, but there is some good in every day." I loved thinking about that concept.
