Thoughts on staying motivated

Tuesday, August 28, 2018

I stumbled across this article today on motivation - "Psychologists have surprising advice for people who feel unmotivated". Here is a link to the article -

In short it says that at first people may need to reach out for advice if they don't know where to start. But later even if they feel unmotivated themselves sharing what they know with others can build confidence and motivation.

Spark is a good example of this. We don't have to be perfect to share ideas and strategies with others. What we are learning while on our journey is of use to others even if we haven't perfected it yet and will reinforce those strategies for us.

Thoughts and ideas on this subject? Have you seen this happen in your journey?

One thing I learned. it was a negative that turned out to be a positive.
Going thru an extremely stressful period of my life..lots of not fun stuff going on. When people would ask how I was. I was tempted to just unload on them all my worries and woes ..but some lil voice in the back of my head told me...All they wanna hear is oh I am great..and go on with their day.
So I just kept saying..doing OK...doing great..having a good day..well those positive statements became my reality! Long ago a very wise man wrote that positive thoughts attract positive reactions and actions..tis true!
Indeed it did not solve my "problems", but it made me better able to deal with it all.
One family member was introducing me to a friend and said..if you wanna meet a gal that is always the same..is always herself and always positive ..here ya go..!
I was flattered of course,,,but I was also thrilled that others saw me that way!
Thinking that way was not easy..took a lot of mental gymnastics..but it works..once you get off that balance beam and land...Whoom...you are in Positiveville and no one but yourself can knock you outta there!

I think it’s true. Also seeing others succeed on sp when I’m not feeling it can reignite the fire. I really like vision boards to self-motivate. emoticon

I can't open the link yet since I'm at work but I will later. I believe this to be true. Being on spark for nine years has really taught me a lot. I've learned so many tips form other's success and sometimes I think about the people I see who are struggling and I'll get up for a workout saying "this is for......" hoping to send some good vibes to the universe!

    Thanks for sharing!!!
