I dithered about whether to sign up for the 5k again or the 5 mile course for next year, and then this morning I bit the bullet and signed up for the longer one. I'm impressed with my stress response for not acting like signing up for this is a crisis. Did some exercise today, working and working and working on making the better food choice. If I do the work, I'll maybe even have a chin up done before then. Right now I can do a 30 lb one-arm row, and maybe a 35 lb one. Following this approximate progression toward my first chin up and adding in sets of pushups (knee pushups right now but I'll get there) and squats/lunges (I can do regular ones of those), trying to get to 40 lb rows before moving on to the next steps:
