Decision Made

Tuesday, August 21, 2018

The first picture is of our precious Ananya as a three week old rescued feral kitten 17 years ago. The second picture is of her 7 years ago. We hand fed her for the first three weeks we had her. We love her. She is our first ever kitty. I think she has suffered a stroke. She is losing use of her left front leg. She can no longer get to her litter box. She is not really eating or drinking. It hurts to watch her try to get places when she does move. She has been a member of our family. It is hard to let go but tomorrow we will release her from any pain. We are having someone come to the house to help her over the Rainbow Bridge. I don't want to eat. I have to as a diabetic but don't want to. My heart is breaking. I know it is right but so hard to let her go. I know I can get support here. Think of me tomorrow.

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my 14 year old chihuahua nine months ago. It was so hard; she passed away in my arms. She had congestive heart failure, and she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on her own. I really miss her. God bless you; I will be praying for you!!!

So sorry! I know how you feel because both of our dogs are getting old (14 years old) and they have arthritis in their legs.

I surely know the sadness you're feeling now, and my thoughts are with you. Our first kitty was with us for 21 years, and it took awhile, but I now have another that I love almost as well. emoticon

I know how you feel and my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you have to make this decision but I sure understand as we had to make the decision for our Honeybear. Sending you hugs and love. emoticon

emoticon I know exactly how you feel. I've been in that same situation. It is heartbreaking even when you know you are doing what is best for the kitty you love. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

.. it's never easy..they can't tell us what hurts or where it hurts.. but we see it in their eyes and the way their body moves.. the compassion you feel will not allow her to suffer.. will be thinking of you tomorrow...

Being Diabetic this must be tough. I am instructed to eat every 5 hours. Try to keep up that regiment even though you are grieving.
